April 7 - "Distortions of the Instincts of Self-Preservation and Procreation"

Pathwork Lecture # 85:              "Distortions of the Instincts of Self-Preservation and Procreation" " with Alanna Hayden, Pathwork VT helper

"The instinct of survival aims at gaining, maintaining, and improving life. The instinct of procreation includes every form of creativity at all levels of being. But where there are psychological disturbances and immaturities, where there is distortion and unreality, these instincts become warped and no longer work constructively." – PWL 85

Each of us comes into this world with the desire to create and maintain a safe and enjoyable life. And yet these deeply ingrained instincts quickly become distorted whenever our efforts to create stability and pleasure are thwarted. Even minor “defeats” can leave us feeling insecure, inadequate, and ashamed – as though we are fighting against impossible odds. It’s exhausting!

How do we begin to unwind these distortions? How do we start using these two powerful instincts of self-preservation and procreation for our own benefit rather than turning them against ourselves? The guide provides the formula in lecture 85! “My advice is to ______. Just ______, and little by little you will grow into true dignity… the true dignity that will set you free.”

Come explore your inner call to Open To Growth in the areas of safety and life satisfaction with Pathwork Helper Alanna Hayden.

April 7 - "Distortions of the Instincts of Self-Preservation and Procreation"

Pathwork Lecture # 158                                    "The Ego’s Cooperation With or Obstruction of The Real Self." with  Pathwork VT helper Whitney Bellingham

“When you identify yourself exclusively with the ego or outer conscious self, when

your sense of self is predominantly associated with the ego functions, you become completely imbalanced. Since the ego cannot replace, or in any way come near, the resourcefulness of the real self, it is inevitable that people become tremendously frightened and insecure.”

“The ego cannot add deep feelings and a deep flavor to living. Nor can it produce profound and creative wisdom. The ego can only memorize, learn, collect other people’s creative knowledge, repeat, and copy...

To feel, to experience deeply and to know deeply is the experience of the real self.

This requires great trust and courage to surrender to an inner movement that is not responsive to the outer thinking.

Let us truly seek that part of ourselves that is eternal, that is adequate and that is in delight, and let’s explore the conditions that make this connection possible."

Join Whitney Bellingham  and other curious seekers in this exploration of lecture No.158.

June 2 - "The Vicious Circle"

April 7 - "Distortions of the Instincts of Self-Preservation and Procreation"

June 2 - "The Vicious Circle"

Pathwork Lecture # 50                               "The Vicious Circle" , with  Pathwork  VT helper Cyndy Shaw

"Only when you desire love in a healthy and mature way which does not cover sick motives, and only when you are willing to love to the same degree as you desire to be loved, thereby taking the "risk of life," will love be forthcoming." PWK 50

"If the motives for the limited love you give are unconsciously based on the great vicious circle, you can never receive love in return, even if by chance you come across a person who would basically be capable to love more maturely than it is possible in the environment you usually attract by your hidden currents. It is your work on this path to find this circle within yourself, to experience it, particularly as to where, how, and in respect to whom it lives within you."

"Situations will occur that seem like punishment, while they are actually the remedy to set you on the right track. Wherever and whenever you deviate, the balance must be reestablished, so that through your difficulties you will finally get to the point where you change your inner direction. You will change, not necessarily in your outer and conscious actions, but in your unconscious childish requirements and aims."

The Guide says that the human soul contains all the wisdom, all the truth deep down.  It is our wrong conclusions that cover our inner wisdom and truth.  When we consciously ask for help in making our unconscious misconceptions conscious, we can tap into a deeper truth, and move out of our closed circles and our stuck places, according to divine conscience and according to our personal plan.

Join us on June 2, 2025 to explore the possibility of opening to our unconscious vicious circles and awakening to our true path.

WHEN? Monday, June 2:

6-7:30pm EST

Though not required, for a more fulfilling experience, please read Pathwork Lecture #50 prior to attending.
