"Let us take a look at the meaning of pain and its real cause. Pain is the result of conflict. It occurs when two opposite directions exist in a personality. The direction of the universal creative forces is toward light, life, growth, unfoldment, affirmation, beauty, love, inclusion, union, pleasure supreme. Whenever this direction is counteracted by another, a disturbance is created. It is not the disturbance itself that creates the pain, but the imbalance and a special sort of tension caused by the opposite direction. This is what causes the suffering."

   In this presentation we will examine our unconscious defenses and how we experience negative pleasure upholding our negative energy currents, and the resulting pain we incur. 

 We will also look at how we resist the acceptance of what is real inside ourselves and others. 

When we gain this acceptance (of reality) from a place of unity, we enter the flow of life and pain diminishes.  We will consider how to arrive at "I'm open to possibility" and "I'm willing to be both vulnerable and courageous", and to say yes to "what is" while staying connected to other, and stand firmly within our own truth and autonomy.
